Ayant parcouru les \u00c9tats-Unis, Tom a forg\u00e9 son identit\u00e9 artistique sur une conviction simple : l&rsquo;importance de la connexion humaine sinc\u00e8re. Sa musique navigue sur un spectre large, allant de l&rsquo;ambient contemplatif au rock \u00e9lectronique plus intense, mais toujours guid\u00e9 par une charge \u00e9motionnelle forte. Avec ce nouvel EP, l&rsquo;artiste prend une direction plus organique et sinc\u00e8re, s&rsquo;inspirant d&rsquo;esth\u00e9tiques \u00ab\u00a0Indie\u00a0\u00bb tout en conservant une profondeur m\u00e9lancolique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le morceau <strong>Friends<\/strong> illustre parfaitement cette volont\u00e9 d&rsquo;insuffler une \u00e9nergie nouvelle au Shoegaze moderne. Tom y explore ce qu&rsquo;il appelle le \u00ab\u00a0bonheur m\u00e9lancolique\u00a0\u00bb, ce sentiment de r\u00e9alisme auquel chacun peut s&rsquo;identifier. Musicalement, le titre se distingue par une mont\u00e9e en puissance et un virage vers un son plus accrocheur et naturel aux alentours de 0:58. Les paroles traitent des lignes troubles dans les relations (\u00ab\u00a0At night, we&rsquo;re more than just friends\u00a0\u00bb) et de la tendance \u00e0 se cacher derri\u00e8re les faux-semblants pour \u00e9viter ses propres pens\u00e9es. Plus sinc\u00e8re et direct, le morceau mise sur un refrain percutant d\u00e8s la premi\u00e8re minute, tout en gardant cette vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 qui caract\u00e9rise le projet. En cherchant \u00e0 traduire ses \u00e9motions vers le monde ext\u00e9rieur, Tom nous rappelle avec AboveMe que, peu importe l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle, \u00ab\u00a0s&rsquo;int\u00e9resser aux autres, c&rsquo;est cool\u00a0\u00bb. C&rsquo;est une invitation \u00e0 la connexion pure, port\u00e9e par des guitares \u00e9th\u00e9r\u00e9es et une voix qui semble murmurer des v\u00e9rit\u00e9s universelles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
